Multilingual Desktop Publishing (DTP)

Translating a user manual or a marketing collateral piece is only half the challenge. Once the initial linguistic work is finished, there are additional steps that need to be taken before the project can be considered "done":

Interpro provides a full range of complex multilingual desktop publishing and design services for both the PC and Macintosh platforms using the most current page layout and graphics applications available on the market.

All desktop publishing services are done in-house in proximity to language professionals. This is critical to ensure that no errors are introduced as a result of the DTP process, and allows for a final quality assurance of the reformatted target-language document without having to send it to a third party.

Interpro's use of technology minimizes the amount of desktop publishing time required. Using filters that "protect" the coding and tags that surround the source language document content, translators are left to translate only what needs to be translated, leaving the desktop publishing application coding intact. The effort to format the target language document is considerably less than the initial effort spent to format the source language document.

And since the content is translated using translation memory management tools, the translated segments (with coding and tags) are stored in the translation memory, allowing for maximum leveraging for subsequent updates to the document.
