Star Cutter Company founded in 1927 by Howard B. Lawton and Frank Burgess. The company was started in a leased portion of a building on Epworth Boulevard in Detroit, Michigan. During this first year of operation Star Cutter Company employed nine to ten employees. The main customers in 1927 were Chrysler and Chevrolet Gear and Axle.
From this small beginning, Star Cutter Company has developed into a world leader in the cutting tool industry with nine manufacturing facilities within four manufacturing divisions, which produce seven product lines. Each manufacturing facility specializes in producing a specific type of product or service.
Today, Star Cutter Company has grown to nearly 650 employees, with manufacturing plants in Elk Rapids, MI, Lewiston, MI, Ossineke, MI, Mio, MI, West Branch and Tawas, MI, and offices in Farmington Hills, MI. Star Cutter Company markets and services its products in North America, South America, Europe and the Far East.
With this international expansion came an ever-increasing need to distribute its product documentation in languages other than English. Searching for a consistently reliable partner who could meet all of its future multilingual needs, Star Cutter Company partnered with Interpro Translation Solutions to produce the Spanish version of its ETGplus Operator's Manual Version 3.0 for Mexico.
"Interpro's attention to detail, accuracy, and early delivery enabled me to provide an accurately translated operator manual, information center, and control station for the customer."
