PowerPoint Translation
PowerPoint is the worldwide, professional multimedia application of choice for conveying information for marketing and sales presentations, employee and client education materials, along with a wide variety of other uses. Interpro offers PowerPoint translation services in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and 17100:2015 standards into any of the world’s most popular languages.
Due to its popularity and accessibility, many organizations need to make their PowerPoint presentations available in more than one language. While on the surface it would appear fairly straightforward to translate PowerPoint content, there are still several items that need to be taken into consideration.
Text expansion in PPTX translation
Translated content can expand considerably in relation to the source language, and may not fit into the text boxes designed for the source language. Our team is careful to look out for slides where text expansion is likely to be an issue, as well as those that are text-heavy. We anticipate what is required to ensure that the presentation looks like it was developed in the target language, not just a retrofitted version of it.
Notes
If your presentation has speaker’s notes, we will be sure to include them in the translation scope. We can also exclude them from the content to be translated depending on your preferences.
Graphics
Graphics containing a lot of text are identified, taking into account that localizing them will take longer than graphics or images with little or no text. Our turnkey PPTX translation services ensure that all graphics are formatted properly in each target language.
Screen Captures
If your presentation includes screen captures from your product, and if you have a translated version of it and can send us the foreign language captures, we will take care of replacing the source captures with the target language captures and make sure it all looks good. Otherwise, we typically leave screen captures in English for a PPTX translation project.
PPTX Translation process
There is a lot that happens behind the scenes to ensure a quality PPTX translation. What is the typical workflow for a PowerPoint translation project? It starts with the source PPTX file being provided for translation by our client. We analyze and prepare the file upfront, and our team reviews all of the content to ensure any questions we have are resolved before translation begins.
Next, we pair you with a dedicated Project Manager who will be your point of contact for all projects that we partner with you on. The translation, revision, and proofreading phases are executed in-country by our professional linguistic teams, after which our Desktop Publishing specialists begin the PPTX formatting phase of the project.
Before delivering the translated presentation to you, we schedule a final Quality Assurance with our in-country linguistic team. This final validation is done with the source PowerPoint presentation and the translated PPTX side-by-side, a service we call Post-DTP Quality Assurance.
Turnkey PowerPoint Translation Services
Our deliverable will be a product that is professionally translated and formatted to match the source PPTX format – ready to deploy immediately – leaving no additional work for you or your team to do. Many of our clients enjoy working with Interpro for this very reason.
As with all other types of content that we translate, your PowerPoint translation will be done using Translation Memory technology to ensure quality, consistency with previously translated materials, and leveraging to maximize cost effectiveness and delivery efficiencies.
