At Interpro, we prioritize our clients’ needs above all else, ensuring every translation decision supports their goals and maintains the highest quality standards. We will never use or recommend AI-assisted translation without first obtaining the client’s explicit consent.

At Interpro, “ethical AI translation” means using artificial intelligence only in ways that support transparency, respect for intellectual property, privacy, fairness, and, most importantly, quality.

Our Commitment to Ethical Use of AI for Translation Policy

1. Interpro will only use AI translation services with client consent.

AI will never be used for translation without the client’s awareness and consent. No AI translation is ever undertaken at Interpro without a client’s explicit approval. During our project intake process, we assess whether AI is a viable option based on the language pair, content type, sentence complexity, regulatory environment, and desired outcomes. If AI proves to be a viable solution, we’ll walk you through a transparent recommendation so you can make an informed decision. Client consent is documented and remains a standing part of the project dossier.

2. The Interpro team will responsibly use AI technology to protect data privacy and linguistic integrity.

We use industry-leading AI translation technologies ranging from machine translation engines to generative language models. All AI technology is evaluated for linguistic accuracy, security standards, data practices, and alignment with our workflows.

When AI is involved, it's applied intentionally to support our expert linguists without compromising quality. We believe technology should serve people, not the other way around, and that includes protecting your content at every step. 

FAQ: Can I opt out of AI translation?

Yes! At Interpro, the default is to use professional human linguists for all language services. We only use AI translation if our clients explicitly opt in. Some clients choose human localization for high-impact content like safety training courses, while opting for AI translation for content more appropriate for AI, such as technical manuals. Your Interpro team will work with you to determine when AI translation might be a safe, strategic choice, and when human expertise remains the best option.

Disclaimer of Liability: Client-Generated Machine Translation

The translation services provided by Interpro in accordance with quotations may include post-editing of client-provided, machine generated translations. Interpro shall not be liable for the Client’s use of machine-generated translations provided by Client to Interpro. The Client assumes full responsibility for the use of machine-generated translations provided to Interpro, and further agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Interpro from any and all claims related to the Client’s use of machine-generated translations.

Acceptance of a quotation from Interpro constitutes agreement to these terms.
