Meet Javier

Javier is a Junior Localization Engineer at Interpro. He has almost always lived in Santiago, Chile. Because he liked literature and languages since childhood, he earned a BA in English Linguistics and Literature, and a Master’s in Translation, both from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He spends his time doing the dishes with warm water, walking long distances, reading, writing on notebooks, eating steamed vegetables, exercising on tree branches, and petting stray animals.

If tomorrow you could speak another language fluently, which would it be?

Greek!

How did you get into the translation services industry?

My thing has always been literature and languages. Getting inside texts, dissecting them, re-writing them in another language, and working with the tools of the trade seemed so peaceful and so much fun.

Favorite places traveled abroad:

Kyoto, Japan.
