From remote audits during the pandemic to in-person celebrations, Sam Somerville shares how Interpro’s dedication to quality and collaboration made ISO certification a success… and a joy to support. Read her perspective on how Intepro has adhered to rigorous quality standards, making that commitment official through our partnership with her and Jigsaw Quality Management.
How It All Began: Quality Meets Culture
My journey with Interpro began at the end of 2020 when they approached me for support in achieving certification to ISO standards: ISO 9001 for a quality management system and ISO 17100 for translation services. From the outset, it was clear just how important quality is to Interpro. I was immediately struck by their enthusiasm and engagement in the process—not only to achieve certification but to embed continual improvement at the heart of all they do.
When Interpro set out to achieve ISO certification in 2020, they partnered with Sam Somerville at a quality management company based in the UK. This is Sam and her husband enjoying dinner with Interpro’s founder and Consigliere, Ralph Strozza.
Remote Auditing, Real Engagement
We were in the middle of the pandemic, so everything was managed remotely but that worked perfectly. It didn’t matter that we were on different sides of the Atlantic! The entire business attended our meetings and internal audits, and it was no surprise when the certifications were achieved in the spring of 2021, with flying colours.
A Model for Best Practices
Since then, the Interpro Quality Management System has gone from strength to strength, bringing further fantastic improvements and resilience.
I frequently use Interpro as an example of what best practice for leadership and engagement with a Quality Management System looks like.

Visiting in Person: A Warm Welcome in Chicago
It was an amazing experience to finally meet the team in person last year when they kindly brought me from the UK to Chicago to complete an in-depth review. I couldn’t have wished for a more enthusiastic and friendly welcome. It was such a pleasure to spend time with the entire Interpro team. I even got to bang the gong for a new account… a true honour!
and working with them has been incredibly satisfying and enjoyable.

A Toast to 30 Years of Purposeful Growth
