Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON)

The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) supports nurses and their practice in order to optimize outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders and their families. Working in tandem with their Spanish-speaking volunteers, APHON turned to Interpro to develop an extensive glossary of terms, and used that glossary as a foundation to localize their Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Curriculum materials in addition to the translation of their provider Renewal Packet all done with language equity in mind.

Interpro has been such a valuable partner to APHON. The team is professional, attentive to detail, stays on schedule, and has a comprehensive approach to the translation process and workflow. Recently, Interpro translated one of APHON’s books, its supporting curriculum, and its competency test. They developed a glossary of critical terms for our target language. Having this glossary of terms will save us time and money when we begin working together on the next edition of the book in the future. We are very pleased with the services we have received from Interpro and highly recommend their translation solutions to other associations and non-profit organizations.
