The International Eczema Council (IEC) brings together scientists and physicians dedicated to research, discovery, and providing optimal care for patients with eczema. The IEC was looking for an economical yet effective solution to have their educational videos translated into Spanish. Interpro became their partner for this critical project.
The IEC wanted select videos available on their website as an on-demand webinar for their Spanish-speaking audience. This included over 70 minutes of webinars from an international meeting and presentation slides.
Next, the IEC had to decide how to translate the video content. They could have placed Spanish subtitles on the video or provided a Spanish voiceover with a studio recording which would result in higher costs.
Interpro was able to create a custom solution for the IEC and implement a voice over recording over the existing videos utilizing interpreters. Using Interpro’s Worldwide Partner Network, a Spanish-speaking language professional was selected to record themself giving the same presentation as the English version – but in Spanish.
The interpreters understood the IEC’s goal: not just to interpret the words but to ensure understanding of the presentation’s message. This was incredibly important considering the highly technical scientific and medical content.
With this goal in mind, Interpro’s team could provide the same presentation and keep the message authentic to the original.
The recordings were well received by the IEC’s Spanish-speaking members, and the IEC was happy Interpro made the entire process easy.
